LeoVegas A Different Looking Sports Book – How Good Are They? – Too New To Tell?

LeoVegas have been running a successful online casino for a while now, around five years. They have decided it was time to add a sports book to the site. If you haven’t heard of LeoVegas you probably don’t play slots. They have won awards for slots coverage and their mobile casino is arguably one of the best ever.
In fact they have won awards for a few things now the LeoVegas mobile app is not the only newsworthy thing about them their sports book came out in early 2016 to a bit of a stir. So what’s the sport book like? Well different for sure. You can tell from the get go that the company concentrates on their mobile offerings. The site is well quirky is a good word. But that maybe comes from the Swedish roots of the firm. Which indecently was floated on NASDAQ recently so these guys are no fly by night outfit.
This is a LeoVegas sports book review so let’s get on with it.

First Impressions Count

If you landed on the page and had no idea that LeoVegas were as big as they were you may be forgiven for thinking the site was made by a college student. That’s not meant as an insult it’s a breath of fresh air. The looks are funky, the colours are mute but not dull. The functionality of the site is completely different from what you would expect from an online bookies. Which are all good things, there are far too many that look like they are just a template site churned out of a factory. The site doesn’t take itself too seriously that much is obvious.
If you read their about us page they admit that they are all about mobile technology and innovation. So if you look at the site on a browser and it looks a little odd well maybe that’s why. But this is a bit counter intuitive as the site is not mobile friendly at all. Their casino apps may be brilliant but the browser site isn’t.

Lots Of Sport On Offer Just A bit Clunky On The Display Side

Anyway back to the sports site. So your sports are listed across the top header. You will straight away be shown football if you want to see other sports then click on the show all tab in the header. The list will appear on the page. So then you click on cycling but nothing happens. It looks like the site is broken but it’s not. It’s just there is no event available to bet on at LeoVegas. This is confusing to say the least. When you do get to see what’s on offer, it is quite effortless to work the system. Click on the fixture and up comes the markets available a surprising amount for a new comer.
Top football matches will have around a hundred+ some as many as one hundred and fifty. The odds are very much middle of the road, with the occasional what was that? The other sports are not so well catered for but with thirty or so sports covered there is potential here for a very good bookies. There is even horse racing which is a rare thing indeed for a brand new bookies to take on. This proves the strength of commitment it takes courage to offer a race card. Again though you only get to see what is happening today. A little bit more work please.

Five Years Into Business And The Bonuses Are Still Not So Good

Award winning they may be but a LeoVegas bonus is not much to shout about. Instead of a welcome bonus like normal deposit match affair LeoVegas have gone their own route. Now being different is good especially where bonuses and promos are concerned. The welcome you get at LeoVegas is what they term 100% Profit Boosts. You get two when you make you first deposit. So to initiate the boost you click on the tab in the betting slip sit back and wait for the win. Great that sounds good. The catch is the bet is a maximum of €5. The best odds that will be paid out is 20/1.
Its UK customers only and no deposit made with Skrill or Neteller is eligible either. That’s it for the promos bonuses and offers. Hmm at lot to learn. But learn they have over the past five years with the casino side of things so who knows?

Licensed Up To The Gills

There’s not too many sports books online that have three bona fide licenses. LeoVegas do. First off they went with Malta they have a couple of licenses with them going back to their start up. Then we have the UK Gambling Commission and they are doing very well in the UK. Then lastly they got themselves a license with Denmark as well. To be paying out all of those fees there has to be so income. It seems that the mobile wunderkind is bringing in the bacon.
Ten language platforms are running with Scandinavian countries predominant but there is Slovene, Czech, German and English and strangely enough Australian English and Canadian English as well. There are not too many banking methods at five but they are the usual five. All in all the site is doing well the whole company has only been going five years and the award just keep coming. The bookies has been running under a year so there is no real feel for how it will fair in the future.
But the start if a little wobbly is anything to go on LeoVegas could be huge in the bookmaking field. They have got a long way to go for sure but they have come so far so quickly if they cn keep the momentum going then look out Ladbrokes.
